There is a network of Legal Information Access Centres in NSW funded by the Law Foundation. They are law libraries for non-lawyers. The central one is at the state library of NSW. Macquarie St Sydney 2000 Ph; (02) 9230 1558. Branches are in local libraries in the following areas: Albury, Bega, Broken Hill, Windsor, Gosford, Liverpool, Forster, Moree, Coffs harbour, Dubbo.

They have written and video resources on the law including environmental law; rights if arrested etc. They also provide legal information over the phone.

EDO and Community Legal Centre Networks These provide community education, advice and representation in each state (over 100). Contact them for the address of the nearest one. They also do other publications eg: there would also be legal guides for community groups wanting to incorporate etc. ACOSS or LCSA would be good places to start.
